A Capital Idea involves a sample within a sample, making the problem more difficult to conceptualize than the other statistics adventures. Subproblems include using sample data to estimate revenue, optimizing among several options in determining expenses, and testing the feasibility of each proposed plan against a variety of constraints. It involves 2 sampling methods and 1 extrapolation to the population. While the calculations are no harder than in the other statistics episodes, the storyline is more complex and the numbers are larger than in The Big Splash. There are several feasible solutions.
